Hullo!
We're baaaaaack, and with some intriguing news. Earlier this week,
Variety reported that Leonardo DiCaprio has signed on to star in Guillermo Del Toro's upcoming
Nightmare Alley.
Some subsequent reporting by
THR's Borys Kit has revealed that, in order to work with Del Toro on the picture, Leo had to turn down a reunion project with his
Revenant director Alejandro G. Iñárritu
and a mysterious project from the man himself!
The reporting goes no further than that single tidbit, and the Phantom Thread press tour was the first instance in recent memory where PTA openly suggested he was confident in the next movie he'd make, but still, it appears the project may actually be close to taking flight!
More details will be served to you as soon as we have them!

6/14 UPDATE: Variety now reporting that Bradley Cooper is likely to replace Leonardo DiCaprio in the upcoming Del Toro film -- the story in no way insinuates that Leo will circle back to the PTA project that was previously passed on, but it's still a considerable development.
