‘Hollywood Comes To Berkeley' Video From The Set Emerges

Things are still very quiet on "The Master" set as virtually no images of principal cast members have leaked out despite filming in residential communities full of people. And if they don't emerge soon we may not see them for quite some time as we hear the production is gearing up to move from the Bay Area back to LA for the remainder of the shoot. But thanks to Xixax we do have this little video about the production along with a short article over at Berkely Side (which you may have seen on our Twitter earlier this week). No real revelations here though the video does feature a somewhat hilarious mix-up of PSH's name.

They've also uncovered a few pictures from the archives of Paul at the Sundance Labs in 1993 and 2000 (2). We're sure you will find them as amusing as we do.

Check out "The Master" cast.

  3. oh for god's sake that isn't a spoiler. and if you're so concerned about learning any possible news on a film that won't be released for 18 months, get off this page.

  5. the location of a scene in the screenplay, even the ending, isn't a spoiler.

  6. "Anonymous" is right. This whole site is a spoiler. Now that I know part of the movie was shot in Berkeley I probably won't go see it.

  7. It's a good question though, like what constitutes a spoiler. Us cinema lovers addicted to "behind the scenes" info, are we just addicted to spoilers?

  8. disclosing the ultimate fate of a character is what constitutes a spoiler. You didn't even put any character names in your first post. If someone is so fragile that they can't handle the slightest discussion of a movie without crying "SPOILER!" they should stay as far away from the movie as possible. Not click on a link explicitly discussing filming locations.

  9. can somebody confirm that Juliette Lewis, Giovanni Ribisi and Elisabeth Moss are making cameos in this film? they're listed on imdb and trolls from you-know-where are attacking the message boards saying "oh no, they'll never appear in a film like this". well, it's a damn fine time to escape from that cult.

there were rumors that the latter two actors were at the Berkley location shoot (Moss is rumored to be playing a character based on Sara Northrup, LRH's first wife, and Ribisi a fascimile of Jack Parsons)

  10. "..'cause this is on film. It's not digital. Which kind of surprised me."

Yeah, 'cause you know so much about what movies are shot on right? Kind of like how you know so much about "giant" 2500 watt lights, right?

  11. I hope PTA never goes digital. As much as I love the format and my camera operators will never shoot with film (due to the expense) it excites me that PTA stands by film.
