Anchor Bay and The Weinstein Co. will distribute the disc which will feature the beautiful cover art you see above and looks to have some really cool special features included which you can see below (via Blu-ray.com/ via Michael DeNight).

  • "Unguided Message" - 8 Minute Short
  • Behind the Scenes Featurette
  • Trailers
  • Teasers
  • "Let There Be Light" (1946) - John Huston's landmark documentary about WWII veterans (58 Minutes)

  1. Great that Let There be Light is included! Saw Back Beyond at a screening, it's terrific. Unguided Message has my curiosity, same with the featurette. Really glad they included Pauls teasers (hopefully in HD). I never expected a commentary, so all things considered this package is as good as i could have hoped for and considering Let There Be Light is included, it's better than I expected.

  2. Is the 26th of February on the US release date, or does that include the UK one too?

  4. Interesting how, for the bluray cover art they went with the Rorschach test DVD cover art similarly displayed on the DVD of Bergman's Face to Face instead of the earlier more cryptic bottle of booze movie poster. Let's hope the behind the scenes featurette is a real peach being similar in depth and length to the Magnolia Diary. Maybe once again, at The Master premiere, like at the Magnolia premiere, we'll overhear Paul asking, "Where's my fuckin' walkie-talkie?"

  6. "Behind the Scenes Featurette" seeing the master doing his masterpiece job behind the camera is the best thing ever!

  7. I hope these features are included in every region and we don´t get screwed out of extras in europe like we did with the chinatown bluray.

  8. Soooo... are all these features only on Blu-Ray? Because I'm sick of getting shafted on purchasing the movies I love because I won't shell out $100 bucks to have a slightly better looking filmgoing experience.

  9. considering HMV's situation, does blu ray/ dvd make any sense anymore? :-(

  10. Yes, there are other places to buy things, and I like hardcopies/objects. I like collecting certain things.

  12. what exactly costs 100 bucks, the player? dvd's are dead and soon, blu-rays will be too. but given the fact that blu-ray discs and dvd's are within 1-3 dollars difference in price to purchase, just get the blu-ray player, already. i think it's a proved format.

  13. I really hope the digital copy will be iTunes and not Ultraviolet (although I'm sure it is).

  16. I have s feeling that the Punch Drunk Love bluray will be a 4K transfer. Being a Columbia/Sony release it makes sense. Judging by what Sony released at CES this year, it appears going forward Sony is really pushing 4K. Jeremy Blake's artwork and Paul's use of color in PDL would be ideal in 4K.

  17. I noticed on Amazon that the Blu Ray version is listed as 2 discs. Any idea if the Blu Ray is going to be like a Blu Ray/DVD combo pack?

  18. Looks like amazon.ca has this listed as April 2nd. Pretty unusual for Canada and the U.S. to have different release dates, so hopefully this will change.

  19. This is a combo pack. It has a reversable cover. All the extras are in hd but let there be light and unguided message which is strangely 1:85 non-anamorphic. The picture however is flawless.

  21. Fascinating how, for the bluray spread craftsmanship they ran with the Rorschach test DVD front workmanship comparatively showed on the DVD of Bergman's Face to Face in place of the prior additional obscure container of moonshine motion picture publication. We should trust the away from public view featurette is a genuine peach being comparative in profundity and length to the Magnolia Diary. Possibly by and by, at The Master opening, for example at the Magnolia debut, we'll catch Paul asking, "Where's my fuckin' walkie-talkie?"
