ReplyDeleteYeah, I was wondering about that since it didn't seem like a PTA-style trailer. Still a great trailer, though. I almost think this movie might benefit from a more Hollywood film studio-style trailer like this than the charmingly-incomprehensible auteur-style trailers he created for The Master. I have a feeling this could be his most financially successful pic yet.

ReplyDeleteAs a full-time Extra living in Hollywood, I can confirm that PTA and Phoenix would sneak into the bushes and do bong rips during the production of this film (well, at least once, but I'm sure they did it a lot.)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Paul's altered state of mind will be noticeable in the final product. I think PTA and Phoenix care deeply about their art and probably chose to get high for artistic reasons - ha! Kinda like how PTA and company would eat steak and drink vodka while editing TWBB. I love PTA because he's willing to do eccentric things like that.
